An interesting round, with four decisive games, led to a change at the top of the standings. Wesley So is now the sole leader, with 4 points. Wesley won convincingly against the strong Indian GM Pentala Harikrishna.

Eljanov lost vs. Aronian, who showed his best chess to outplay the strong Ukrainian GM.

Karjakin played Adhiban, and almost certainly the russiaRussian was looking forward to a victory today. Adhiban is a strong GM, but objectively the former Challenger is much stronger. But today was not Sergey's day, whereas Adhiban played well, to win a good game.

Carlsen and Nepomniachtchi played a super solid opening, drawing the game pretty quickly. Wojtasek beat Van Wely, who is having a pretty rough tournament so far.

After 5 rounds, Wesley So leads with 4 points, followed by Eljanov and Carlsen half a point behind. Aronian is third with 3 points. Then the pack at 50% with Karjakin, Giri, Harikrishna, Andreikin, Wei Yi and Wojtaszek.
